Adding an Edgenuity class as a source to a section

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Linking an Edgenuity class to a section lets Scout automatically pull in assignments from that course, so students' Edgenuity work appears alongside the rest of their section activity.

Before you start

  • You'll need the URL of the course structure page in Edgenuity (see Step 3 below for details on where to find it).
  • The section must already exist in Scout. If you haven't created the section yet, see Adding a section to a course.

How to add an Edgenuity source

Step 1: Open the section

  1. In the left sidebar, click Courses.
  2. Click the course that contains the section you want to link.
  3. In the course page, click Sections in the left-hand menu.
  4. Click the section row, then click Go to section (the link in the top-right of the detail panel).

Step 2: Open the Assignments tab

On the section page, click the Assignments tab at the top.

You'll see an Integrations card on the left. If no sources have been added yet, it shows No sources.

Step 3: Click "+ Add source"

Click the + Add source button at the bottom of the Integrations card.

A confirmation dialog appears. Click Add Integration to continue.

Step 4: Select Edgenuity and paste the course URL

The Add Integration dialog with a Platform dropdown and URL field
  1. In the Platform dropdown, select Edgenuity.
  2. In Edgenuity, navigate to your course's structure page. The URL looks like:
    https://[instance].core.learn.edgenuity.com/Educator/TandR/structure.aspx?scbid=[course-id]
  3. Copy that URL from your browser's address bar, then paste it into the Edgenuity URL field in Scout.

Step 5: Save

Click Add Integration. Scout connects to Edgenuity and begins syncing assignments for students enrolled in the section.

Tips

  • Where to find the Edgenuity course URL: In Edgenuity, open the course, then go to the course structure (sometimes labeled "T&R" or "Structure"). Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar — it must include the scbid= parameter.
  • Multiple sources: You can add more than one source to a section. Repeat the steps above if you need to link additional platforms.
  • Removing a source: To disconnect Edgenuity from a section, return to the Integrations card on the Assignments tab and click Remove next to the source. You'll be asked whether to also delete the synced assignments.
  • Sync timing: After adding the integration, assignments may take a few minutes to appear. Scout shows the last sync time next to the source name once the first sync completes.
