Updating your parent account information

Your Scout parent account uses the contact information your school has on file for you. This article explains what you can change yourself and what your school needs to update for you.

Overview

You can reset your own password at any time. Your name, email address, and phone number come from your school's records, so you can't edit them in Scout. If any of them are wrong, contact your school's office and ask them to update your contact information.

Reset your password

Go to the Scout login page and click Forgot your password?
Enter the email address you use to log in to Scout, then click Reset password.
Check your email for a code from Scout and enter it on the screen.
Enter a new password. It must be at least 10 characters long.
Click Submit.

If the code doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder, or click Request a new code.

Change your name, email address, or phone number

Contact your school's office and tell them what needs to change. Once they update your information, the change will show up the next time you log in to Scout.

If your school changes your email address, use the new email address the next time you log in.

Notifications

Scout sends emails to the email address your school has on file for you. If you aren't getting them, or they're going to the wrong address, ask your school's office to check your contact information.

If you use the Scout mobile app, you can turn app notifications on or off in your phone's settings.
